I am excited to share that I will be performing clarinet with Diana Krall at her two Calgary shows on April 14 and 15, 2009 at the Jubilee Auditorium! I’m not exactly sure what it will be like, but I was told it will be “a lot of fun,” so I imagine it will be something like this without all the New Year’s celebrations, haha:

As you may or not know, Philip Glass, who happens to be one of my favorite contemporary composers, will be in Calgary this month as resident artist for the High Performance Rodeo (an event which featured an arrangement of Mike Oldfield’s “Tubular Bells” for four pianos last year by our very own Marcel Bergmann.) Needless to say, I am very excited to be able to attend most of the events surrounding this occasion, but to top it off I will now be playing with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra for their performances of Glass’ “Low” Symphony the week prior to his arrival, on January 16 and 17! (See here for more information!)
I can’t wait, and I hope that I get to meet him at some point while he is here! I still have to work on getting into Cantos for his private tour… !!!
